Lyles should go ahead and book a ticket to OKC. It's unlikely he'll be ahead of White or Peacock.

does he have options remaining? Clearly he needs to work out some issues, so I'm certainly in favor of sending him down, just not sure if we can or not

Érik Bédard's ass must be fine now, as he worked around a walk and a hit to strike out the side in the 5th.

Chia-Jen Lo continues to impress, as he worked around a hit to fan 2 in the 6th.

I just realized it may have even been on the video itself.

Alex White has 8.53 ERA in 6.1 IP
Brad Peacock has 6.75 ERA in 6.2 IP

    Neither has good peripherals .

I realize their ERAs and WHIPs are better than Lyles this spring, but they aren't exactly showing they deserve a rotation spot.

He could have given up 10 earned runs in 4 innings and his ERA would have dropped.

Jose de Jesus Ortiz retweeted that.

Also, due to UH hoops coming up on 790, today's game is on tape delay in Houston. It'll be on after Astroline tonight. However, it is live on MLB.com.

OMG. And now a FC, where the throw is too late, so bases loaded on 3 infield groundballs.

And the grand slam from a pitcher (well, former pitcher)

Long season is going to be extra long if these guys can't play better D.

Welp, looks like John Ely's chances of making the team took a hit today.

On the bright side, Nate Freiman took Rafael Soriano for a ride.

Sad part is, with better fielding behind him, he might have gone 1-2-3. Only listening on the radio, but they made them sound like makeable plays.

If that is truly the case, then I suspect the coaching staff will take that into consideration. Fluke hits are better to give up than hard outs when you are trying to earn a spot.
