Well, no one in their right mind wants to work with Boras. :)

Just imagine if we thought of Jeff Bagwell that way...

I'm warming up to Moran, but I can't imagine him going 1-1.

Well, it's a good thing we have an owner who has never been accused of being in his right mind then.;)

After looking at some scouting reports on him I'm warming up a little as well. He seems less risky than Bryant as well due to his quick bat. We would have to save a ton of money though to make me happy.

Maybe so, but players can grow into power, as Bagwell showed. Bryant has 2 tools: Arm and Power. Moran has the potential for more.

I think I heard they are cracking down on steroids and growing into power these days.

Might just be a rumor though.

I think it is getting overblown as usual. McCullers and Ruiz were both Boras guys and we signed them both to big deals last draft. Moran, Meadows, Appel, and Bryant are all Boras guys and we are supposedly interested in all of them to go along with Gray and Frazier.

Players grow into power. That was the norm pre-steroids.

^^^^Lol best college athlete Jacoby Jones. That right there would be enough to scare me off of drafting him.

If Sean Manaea really has a free fall like that, I'd love for the Astros to try to offer him top 20 money and get him with our 2nd round pick.

If Manaea is supposedly considered to be available at the 2-1 pick... I wonder if they would draft more of a money saver (Moran, Bryant, Frazier) with the first pick. I think they will take Gray, and you can never have too much pitching depth, but I would love to be a fly on the wall for those conversations.

David Post is the Astros' national crosschecker. He was listed as a "Top 10 Future Scouting Director" in the lead-up to last year's draft. It appears that he's very highly regarded amongst his peers in the scouting community. Glad he's a part of the Astros organization!

"No Baseball America feature is complete without a Top 10 Prospects list, so while gathering information about the job of scouting director, we also asked people where the next generation of scouting directors might come from. This ranking is not a formal poll, but does reflect the opinions of the more than 25 current scouting directors and other front-office executives."
