    Basterds or District 9 should have won for best screenplay.. Can someone explain to me why The Hurt Locker or Precious won??? None of those movies grabbed me by their stories the way basterds and D9 did...

    Honest question: Why did Basterds capture you with its story? The story was really weak in comparison to Precious...but different strokes for different folks.

    Whoa dude, Basterds is an exceptional movie. The acting, the pace and the way the scenes unfold... it's movie making at its finest.

    The Acting, Cinematography, and the Exposition make it a great movie, the story however lacked the grit that Precious had.

    Wont matter anyway since Avatar is going to win it.

    Basterds had Nazi's and scalping, along with Christoph Waltz mesmerizing performance... It was a far better film and more entertaining than Precious...
