The Crosby injury is killing the Penguins. He wasn't playing that well, but without him, the other centerman are exhausted. With the RedWings in desperation mode, this is exciting!

    That's good.

Early in my NHL fandom, I was a Penguins fan cause everyone liked Gretzky, so i was a Lemieux guy. After finding out that Jaromir Jagr uses Vagisil, my alliances changed over to Detroit. Especially after the 96 playoff war they had with Colorado.

So basically, it's two of my favorite teams.

    Congrats to Pittsburgh.

Congrats to the Pens. It was a good game. Fleury did very well, player of the game.

    Classless Detroit fans.

    But that's to be expected.

Pittsburgh is now Title Town, U.S.A. the Steelers won the Super Bowl and now the Penguins won the Stanley Cup. And baller4life315 will change his sign, "Pittsburgh professional sports teams: 14 championships and counting......"

Rockets fans surely wouldn't cheer if another team beat us in the Finals on our homecourt.

    That's just fans being fans.

Awesome game for Red Wings haters like myself.

Classy Detroit fans always make such a win much sweeter. The Pens deserve it. Great playoff run and moreso the franchise problems the past few years. Awesome stuff and great for the city of Pittsburgh. :) :) :)

Like a bear jumping on his prey. Fleury was very impressive.

They're booing Bettman. They're not booing the Cup celebration.

EDIT: I also think they were booing that some of the Pens, including Crosby, didn't shake the Wings hands but I could be mistaken. Crosby made it over just in time to shake hands with the coaching staff but not the players.

I would think most fans would just leave. I don't remember Mavs fans booing the Heat at the trophy presentation(If they did, they had justification due to the Refs/Dwade shenanigans).

I'm sure there's been other situations where home fans booed but I'd think for the most part the home fans that just watched their team lose are civil or just leave before the presentation. (Correct me if i'm wrong though).

That was an incredible rush. Watching this game makes up for the dismal (from my standpoint) NBA Finals matchup.

    Just WOW!!!

It did seem to stop once Bettman left. I was shocked that Detroit fans, of all people, would boo the cup. Actually pretty neat to see so many of the Wings fans still there.

Last year at Mellon Arena, almost everybody stayed to see the cup come out. At least it seemed like it in our section.
