People have had some time to learn more about the candidates, and the primaries are getting closer, so I decided to start this poll over fresh with the top remaining candidates.

Where do you stand now, and has your vote changed in the last 9 months?

Please only vote in this poll if you plan on voting Republican in the coming election.

I listed the top candidates according to CNN poll. If you want to vote for Keyes, choose "Other."

As an aside, I was a senior in high school in '96, and our government teacher had us do a "blind vote" based on each candidate's background, experience, platforms, etc., but the descriptions didn't include the names of the candidates.

Our class overwhelmingly selected Keyes as the top presidential candidate.

    So I feel your pain.

In retrospect, I should have made these polls public.

    Oh well.

It's a shame that Huckabee won't garner serious votes. He's the only candidate who is a staunch supporter of the "Fair Tax."

I like Mccain. But he's not gonna win. I also like Tom Tancredo (really tough on immigration), but he's not gonna win either.

no, this is not from the onion...

when it comes to tranny giuliani, the truth is stranger than satire.

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070925/ap_on_el_pr/giuliani_house_party_1

Giuliani party seeks $9.11 per person

WASHINGTON - A supporter of Rudy Giuliani's is throwing a party that aims to raise $9.11 per person for the Republican's presidential campaign.

Abraham Sofaer is having a fundraiser at his Palo Alto, Calif., home on Wednesday, when Giuliani backers across the country are participating in the campaign's national house party night.

But Sofaer said he had nothing to do with the "$9.11 for Rudy" theme.

"There are some young people who came up with it," Sofaer said when reached by telephone Monday evening. He referred other questions to Giuliani's campaign.

"I'm just providing support for him. He's an old friend of mine," Sofaer said of Giuliani.

Sofaer was a State Department adviser under President Reagan and is a fellow at Stanford University's Hoover Institution

Giuliani's campaign had no immediate comment.

According to the invitation, "$9.11 for Rudy" is an "independent, non-denominational grass-roots campaign to raise $10,000 in small increments to show how many individual, everyday Americans support `America's Mayor.'"

Giuliani was mayor of New York during the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

did yall know that rudy was mayor of new york city?

    ON 9/11!!!!
