Let the discusson begin! Exciting game so far. Lots of homers. Pitchers are getting eaten up. edit: I meant to put this in the Hangout.
The AL seems to win every year. I got tired of hearing the announcers repeat over and over, "This time it means something!"
The AL has won 6 out of 7 so to the young'uns like arkoe, that is a lot. He wasn't around when the NL, for whatever reason,won 19 out of 20 between 1963 and 1982.
It was quite entertaining and a definite improvement over last year. Liked all the homers, but the pitching was awful. I think it accomplished its task of being a showcase for the fans unlike last year's awful stinker.
He seemed alright with it on ESPN last night. Knew that more than anything it was a game just for fun, and said that he was over with it. And yes, 6 out of the last 7 does seem like a lot to me. I realize it doesn't to those of you who have been watching it for 30 years.
the pitching was fantastic through the first half of the game...fell apart thereafter. but it really wasn't till the 5th (i think) before either team broke through significantly.
i thought it was a very exciting game.......I'm an NL fan, but didn't really cared who won even thought "this year it counts".
