I live In san francisco ca, and my wife bought be rockets tickets and a plane ticket for christmas. BEST PRESENT EVER!!! I looking for some tips. I have never been to Houston. Place to eat? how early should i leave for the game for traffic? Anything that might be helpful. Seats are club level 119 row 23, anyone know how good the view is from these seats? thanks in advance
Wow, you got tickets and a plane ticket to go see a home game? Crazy! Have fun. I live in California too but I'm going to wait till they play the Kings or GSW so I can see the Rockets play.
This is the definition of "I'd wife her" lol many good restaurants; you should research it. One thing you will have to consider is if you want to go out to a nice restaurant and go to a Rockets game, same night. If so, I'd recommend The Reef. Then you are a short drive to the stadium. very good seats. Within the baselines! and if I were you, I'd move down into the vacant seats....after scoping out the scene. I'd be row 5 by my first beer refill.
Your seats have a fantastic view. To see the view yourself, just put your section number and row on the Toyota Center website: http://www.seats3d.com/nba/houston_rockets/ Great restaurants near the stadium: -China Garden: Great food, somewhat pricy -Mia Bella Trattoria: I visit this place a good amount of time when I have a decent amount to spend. Great Italian food, service is alright, pricy food. -Spencers Steakhouse: I've never been here, but some of my buddies tell me they serve some great food. Have fun!
Those seats suck. Look, I'm all about being a friendly native, so I would like for you to have the better seats. Let's go ahead and switch.
Those are awesome seats congrats man! I'd go to downtown at about 5:00 and walk around visit discovery green and whatnot. Also make sure you score as much free swag as you can before the game in the toyota center. And most of all get your grub on. Compared to other states houston food is cheap, good and plentiful!
Reef is a good choice. Top notch food (named best seafood restaurant in America a couple years ago) and pretty close to the stadium
Which game are you attending? Where will you be staying? There is literally a Hilton right across the street from the stadium and several other hotels within walking distance. I'd try to stay at one of those to avoid driving in downtown. There's also several restaurants that you'll be able to walk to as well.
Go to Ninfas on Navigation. Pretty close to the stadium, and it's some of the best Tex-Mex in town; definitely not something you can find in Cali.
