I just got called for a job that has a low salary, but I think makes up for it by offering 100% health coverage. When they say 100%, does that mean there is no co-pay or medical bills for any treatments/checkups, etc?
It probably means that they pay the entire insurance premium for you. Most likely, you will still owe some kind of co-pay on a lot of visits/procedures.
Probably just means premiums. You should find out the value of the plan. My employer pays for my health insurance. Its somewhere between $300 - $400/month.
I would think this too...that's pretty sweet, but my current health plan has a low monthly premium, but a HUGE deductible...so, I pay everything 100% out of pocket until my deductible is met...
Yeah I doubt there are many medical plans that cover 100% of everything. My last real job at Intel cost me $40 a month (the COBRA was something like $450 after I got fired) and all I paid was a $20 co-pay for doctor visits and $10 per prescription. Damn I hate alcohol.
