Maybe if he let them shoot the ball sometime. Did anyone else get a shot in the 4th qtr? The 4th was a perfect example of team ball vs Kobe ball.

And is there something wrong with that? Nobody else is doing anything else besides standing around.. Gasol's locked up... not even fighting to get open. I don't know what you're point is... but you should be the last one complaining about that after your boy LeBron went 4/21 earlier this week and blew the game for the Heat.

Kobe played great but completely alienated his teammates in the 4th. He took the last 10 or 11 shots and the Lakers look completely disinterested.

Thats what usually happens when one player starts ball hogging and doesn't involve anyone.

That being said, watching kobe do work is amazing to watch for me but it must suck to be his teammate.

    He has 0 assists.

The dude has so much talent around him and he never passes.

He scored 41 on 30 shots, being selfish is a recipe for losing games especially when he is been on decline for some quite time.

Yes they did. I don't think anyone else made an effort to do anything in the 4th besides Kobe.

Haha... a decline? Show me something that supports that he's on a decline.

Just look at the games not that hard to figure out.

Decline doesn't mean he sucks just means he's not the same athletically. Lucky for him he doesn't depend on his athleticism a lot.

Kobe made a great effort to score. As far as defending and getting others involved (no assists)....not so sure. It was 1 vs 5 in the 4th.

Noone made an effort because everyone knows that they are not getting the ball. Its hard to get your head in the game when your teammate is holding the ball and taking tough fadeaways

Los Angeles Ladies vs four contenders

    Miami - blow out loss
    Spurs - blow out loss
    Boston blow out loss
Mavs in bad shape and without Butler - fair loss

    I like it very much!

you ever played basketball? i think never touching the ball clearly hurts anyones focus. I seriously think bynum or gasol didnt even touch the ball the last 5 minutes..forget shooting im talkin bout just getting the ball..thats called alienating your teammates and setting up your team for a lackluster effort

I think part of the reason why this happened was because of the last few games.... Kobe's been passive. It hasn't worked... Lakers still lost those games. He came early to the game to work on his shot probably so that if they were in a situation like they were in tonight, he could do it all by himself to try to will them to the win. More times than not, they don't win when Kobe does that. Kobe isn't the reason why they lost this game though.

Problem with Kobe is once he makes a bucket, he will go for another and another. We've seen it time and time again with the Lakers.

After Kobe makes a big bucket in the fourth, he won't stop shooting. When he misses, he won't pass until the offense completely falls apart. The offense becomes nothing more than just 4 guys watching Kobe, and the opposing team starts scoring again.

Phil Jackson called him out so many times already. Kobe can score in bunches, but he doesn't stop shooting when the spurt is over.
