The new schedules normally come out around the end of july/early August. I hope we have some nationally televised games.

Im sure Ming will get us an additional 4 or 5 televised games on top of what they would have given us. Im guessing we will get about 10 games.

I think the first game Ming plays will be on national tv.

Anyone know anything about the schedule for games that will be broadcast locally? Will UPN20 continue to pick up half of the Rockets games like they did last season?

I think we will see the schedules in August. If I remember correctly last year with the big FA class the NBA wanted to wait a bit to see where people would go to see what teams would be good and what teams would drop.

I think with the addition of Ming to the Rockets that will add A LOT of NBA national TV games to the schedule! Which is nice for those living out of town such as myself! =)

I hope we play Dallas on Opening Night. It'll shatter any remaining Bradley comparisons and we match up well with them. ABC or should I say ESPN could hype up the Texas rivalry as well.

Remember, ABC/ESPN take over the NBA next season.

I wouldn't necessarily expect the Rockets to be one of the Christmas Day teams. However, one of these spots (probably against the Lakers) will almost certainly be a Rox game. I'm more curious about how many Thursday TNT slots they get. Sir Charles vs. Yao Ming to see who has the biggest mouth! ;)

As to the local contract, that remains up in the air. Channel 20 is still the most likely over-the-air broadcast partner, but the fact that they signed the Comets with Ch.51 may be an early clue to the new direction...
