Language not exactly SFW...so...spoilahs. But Google is basically making similar mistakes to what companies like Yahoo and Lycos and AOL did. Trying to "lock in" and "force" the user into certain products they don't really want. This is exactly what Google didn't do when they first came out, and why they became successful. Now they are messing up. Spoiler <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/bEWR2-zcAtM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Also, the "new Google Maps" is all shiny and everything, but how the hell can they be so r****ded to discontinue the one most useful feature - multiple destinations? Who cares about graphical improvements? Google Maps product manager: "Yeah, now you can only go from A to B instead of from A to B to C to D...but who cares...the graphics look a bit nicer."
That guy's voice was funny, but he made good points. Unfortunately, I don't see how this forced combining of YouTube and Google will stop anytime soon. I personally don't want my ****ty comments I made on YouTube 10 years ago to be tied to my real name.
That's the leverage you get from being two of the most revolutionary products and innovative brands in media history.
This guy is funny and I like his other videos, but... I think it's a bit much to complain about a service that is free and on top of that, PAYS YOU to host your own videos. That's IMO. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/B72hTOnW_aI?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> How to Stop YouTube From Changing Things (same video, just a link)
^ PEOPLE make it worse. It's like people who go to FaceBook, and it changes, and they complain. It's a F#)(@ing FREE website for your entertainment. Spoiler Quit your b*tch*ng.
STOP ASKING ME TO USE MY USE NAME WTFFFUUUU I've had my account for like 7 years now, it's been fine and anonymous, why in the fruck are they trying to get me to use my real identity. One really great thing about the internet is about being anonymous, can you imagine if clutch woke up one day and decided that all memebers have to use their real name and monikers, and oh btw your names have to have a facebook or google+ attached to it as well so random people on the internet can invade your privacy on clutchfans.
A bunch of racist comments, a bunch of dumb political comments. Find a video about planting a Rose bed or something. Gonna turn into poo flinging.
it doesn't. I have a yt account that is still active. (of course they keep asking me to change my name)
You can still do this on the web version. Not sure on various-platformed apps, though. Edit: Hit the + button
I can't...do you mean on the new Google Maps? I can only do one destination. Edit: You are right - they must have added that within the last couple of days. A little "+" that allows to add more destinations.
No. It's been there for a while. I've done it because I usually have to run errands to three or four destinations.
Not that I support it, but I understand why they're doing the Youtube comments thing. It has a lot to do with people posting meaningless bs on there which does reflect on YouTube overall look and reputation. When you tie a name to the comment, people are more likely to think twice about what they're posting than with some anonymous username. I personally couldn't care less either way, I don't comment much on YouTube vids as it is, and I do use Google+. http://www.theverge.com/2013/9/24/4...s-radical-redesign-of-comments-tied-to-google
