It might be the smart decision to go through the draft and part ways with the Rockets before his reputation is destroyed even further by Leslie's meddling.

You can bet your ass Morey will be to blame. Owners never receive any blame and Leslie will make Morey pay for his own mistake by firing Morey if this doesn't work out.

Yes. The owner is setting him up to fail.

And go where? No one is hiring this guy for a GM position any time soon.

I guarantee you he'd be hired somewhere within the month of resigning. At minimum as an assistant GM under a veteran GM.

    Resign as in quit?

Or resign as in sign again?

    Yes, I would.

Lots of owners would be calling him the minute his resignation is announced.

You couldn't be more wrong. Morey is incredibly respected across the league and would be picked up by a staff immediately. Morey will have a very long tenure in the NBA.

He probably should, yes. He put together a lousy roster, but his hands were no doubt tied on this coaching decision. I believe this hire was designed to ensure a scoring championship for James Harden and to make absolutely certain that Dwight Howard opts out. It is a cost saving move in that regard. I don't believe that it was a decision made in the best interests of winning, although Les probably rationalizes it that way in his head. It's going to make Morey look bad, although I am sure everyone knows that it was actually Les's decision.

I'll answer this question after i see how free agency turns out. If we're going to overpay some ****ing scrub it means Morey lost power.

All depends on how this off-season goes. If it doesn't go well, then sure. You know he'd get a call within minutes of turning in his resignation. Cuban, for certain, would make him an offer he cannot refuse.

Yes, he could resign and take a lower position, I was saying he wouldn't get another full GM job anytime soon.

He is respected around the league? LOL. Sorry, but you couldn't be more wrong.

You will realize he lost power the moment we give Jermey Lin a 4 year contract at about 15mil per to be our starting pg.

Teams would fire their GMs for a chance at Morey.
