Nothing wrong with Pops picking up the phone and seeing what Wade or the Thunder would want in order to come over.

After his performance in the playoffs, I thought it was very likely TD would retire. Pop played him only 25 MPG during the regular season and his production was pathetic. Then in the playoffs it was even worse. Pitiful to watch.

TD's gauge is on "E" and he doesn't seem to be the kind of guy that relishes an 82-game victory lap like Kobe.

Signing Pau shouldn't have anything to do with Duncan retiring.

Unfortunate. He clearly has at least 4-5 more years left in him.

Nah if you didnt watch the spurs last season he was very ineffective on offense and defense sadly He cant shoot anymore and his post moves are absent. He can still block shots because of his height but he is struggling alot

Duncan started the year with the same efficiency he has had for the past few years and he was still in the upper echelon of NBA bigs. Midway through the season however his production suddenly dropped off a cliff and that continued through the playoffs. By the end of the season he clearly had nothing left. I don't know if he suffered an injury or it's just age finally catching up with him.

I had the feeling that Duncan was done when he pointed to the sky before leaving the floor for his final game. Obviously this was not the perfect ending to a HOF career but very few greats make to the end on top of their games.

Amazingly Tim Duncan still led the LEAGUE in defensive rating (per NBA.com). He's not Tim _uncan, he still has the D.

However it was a painful looking performance the 2nd half of the year, especially on offense. Duncan has had some re-dedication follow-up years after seemingly "down" years, but I think that has expired and its only down from here
