So, how much do the Blazers currently have in committed salaries for 2015/16? Henderson 6 Lillard 4.2 Leonard 3 Vonleh 2.6 McCollum 2.5 Blake 2.1 Crabbe 0.9 Pick 23 1.1 4x incomplete roster charge = 2-2.4m If they renounce everyone, then let's just say that's only $25m in committed salary. Is that the play here? Try and get 2 max free agents to go with Lillard?
What team with a good pick has any use for Batum? (Outside of the Hornets, who obviously wouldn't trade their pick for him)

Living in portland and getting to watch Batum since he was a rookie I've followed him closely because I was disappointed we drafted him and never kept him. With that said....You guys are severely overrating Batum. He has all the potential in the world but he's never fulfilled it and I don't think he ever will. He's a solid player as a 5th or 6th best player but he disappears way too often when counted on and he's inconsistent. I'd rather have Corey Brewer at a fraction of the cost.
1st step trade ariza,kostas,dmo,dorsey,18th pick for lamarcus 2nd step trade jones, dorsey, 32th pick for SF 3rd step sign sergio and beverly

I like the trade for Charlotte. You get rid of a PF with very low BBALL IQ and a SG who doesnt play like a modern gaurd at all. In return they get a SF who fits their team and culture. Only question is whats the starting lineup going to look for them when the season starts. They are still shopping players, most notablly at the moment Cody Zeller and looking to get Kaminsky with the 9th pick if they dont trade it. Kemba MKG Batum Kaminsky Al They have holes to quickly fill if they want to take advantage of the weak east. With this trade for Portland tho,I know its super early, but they will be lucky to make the Playoffs next year. This move make them weaker.
MJ finally making good decisions. No brainer for the Hornets. I only want LA because I don't want him playing for anyone else.
Its not good decision for cha. Batum expires. Next season everyone will hwve capspace and he will an ufa. A wing that can shoot create and defend is always in demand. Charlotte will have either to massivelly overpay or lose him for nothing. They are not a big market. They wasted their last year lottery pick on an expiring contract for one year of trying to be a low po seed. And their coach never gave him a proper chance anyway.
They could hope Batum blossoms in the East and on a not so good team. Pick up his numbers across the board, and net even more than they gave for him at the deadline next season to a Playoff team if they aren't in the hunt themselves.
