Who do you feel is the best (not most electable) GOP candidate excluding Trump?

I hope it's ok to add another thread to the election if it's a poll. With the talks of a "civil war" I think it's interesting to find out who people think the best candidate is if they could not vote for trump. Public polls organize opinions and do a better job of breaking down who the loudest posters are and who the masses represent.

Here the the candidates that I could still see coming into play at the convention in some way. I don't think Ben Carson would come back. If I was a republican then I would have voted for Jeb Bush but I don't see him coming back either. It was funny how both the San Antonio and Houston newspapers endorsed Bush but he didn't make it to the Texas Primary. I included Romney because who knows if the convention is brokered. He didn't really do much better than McCain in 2012 since the two states he took back from Obama (Indiana and North Carolina) had no business being Democrat in 2008 anyway. However, Romney still had %47 percent of the vote in 2012 and there is history of candidates running a 2nd time. It worked for Nixon 8 years after he barley lost to Kennedy but not as much for William Jennings Bryan who lost the election 3 times. I'm super curious about Kasich. He might to get more national attention after he wins his home state of Ohio and can be marketed as a "Cinderella Candidate" He also seems to fit the conservative GOP candidate but doesn't have the silver spoon image that Romney had. They might also think that Rubio can win everyone over once he gets away from Trump and Cruz. I just think his absentee status as a US senator might come back to bite him. Anyway, this feels a lot like the disarray of the 1968 democrat party after LBJ dropped out because of Kennedy who was then shot. Also feels a little like 1992 when Perrot had a lot of momentum as the Washington business tycoon candidate. I say all this as a life long liberal who voted for Hilary in 2008 and 2016. The only think I'll say is I'm generally afraid as an American of a Ted Cruz presidency and I would be even more worried if I was in the armed forces since he seems the most like a war hawk than a diplomat. Just my opinion.
