If this were 1992 I'd be stoked.

Man, Beyonce shat all over Rihanna's night.

Beyonce's performance was like the Beijing opening ceremonies. Why did they have her in the middle of the show?

Someone had to have seen what she was planing in dress rehearsals, right? No way I would have followed that.

Kanye is trolling the entire earth. what the hell was that video?

Did anyone catch Future's performance with Zaytoven? Zaytoven plus a live band had to have been insane.

I remember Madonna's Vogue performance in 17th century clothes, I think one of her dancers straight up sniffed her crotch. That was the same year as Andrew Dice Clay.

Caught that Kanye video. Never heard the song until now.

It's basically a mashup of three legendary house songs (two from the famous Chicago scene). I still listen to them to this day...kind of bugs me people think this is another 'genius' original just because he puts his name on it.

But that's just me acting like an old man. Cool that he listens to the classics though. Get off my lawn.

That's what hip-hop is. 99% of songs are made up of samples. This is how hip-hop started in the 70's in the disco, a DJ spinning disco music and a guy emceeing with a mic.

Beyonce stole the show. She should've been the final performance really. If I were Britney Spears I'd be complaining, she had to follow Beyonce's performance up. Spears performance was bad in a vacuum but following Beyonce, it was horrendous.

Yeah, I get it. My favorite hop-hip era is when jazz samples were heavily sourced. But everyone knew and acknowledged it. And guys like Dilla were really creative with how they did it.

I think Kanye puts out some good, clever stuff, but this was straightforward like what Diddy used to get made fun of for doing. I guess it irked me reading a review of this song as a 'stroke of genius'.

But enough of me derailing the thread.

Seeing Iman Shumpert definitely surprised me (I get that's his fiancee now).
