Does it matter what his sentence is? You know he's gonna get a pardon.

Sure, stone (and flynn) will get their pardons. But it does matter... the prosecutors fought hard to get the conviction and sentencing. And these were serious crimes he was convicted for, and he committed them over years. Even during the trial stone mocked the legal process and committed additional offenses. And the political face of the doj just responded to the president to reduce the sentencing that they had just the day before explained the basis of. These is blatant inappropriate presidential interference in our criminal justice and judicial processes.

Make trump own it by using a pardon.

What confidence or trust will Americans have in our justice and judicial system in the future?

Who needs the pardon controversy when you can just order the DOJ to bully their prosecutors into recommending no ramifications for Trump criminals.

The judges in these cases have to really be infuriated at the blatant corruption of DOJ under Barr. I suspect this could backfire and the judges ignore the sentencing suggestions on Flynn and Stone.

The official story is that "DOJ senior leadership" are responsible for the change. I don't see how Barr, a Cabinet member, interfering is any better than Trump interfering. Even if it was true.

Otherwise, I don't see how the judge can possibly give anything lighter than the guidelines without herself looking corrupt. Barr really should have been on his prosecutors to subvert justice before the recommendation was made.

This dude has done more F’ed up **** than Regan, Clinton, Obama, Carter, Bush’s combined. And of course barely any of supporters can admit at least a few of them are bad. It’s all or nothing.

    Color me not surprised.

Love my country.... fear for it's future as trump tears it down from the inside. Trashing environmental safeguard for profit, ruining trust in the media, the justice system and anyone who doesn't buy in to his Dictatorial Cult he seems to be the head of.

Makes me sick how much damage he's done in 3 years, and how far our society will slide into oblivion if he's allowed to rape it without consequence for another 4 years after this term.

Can someone help me. Where is the article on https://www.foxnews.com/? See this is what is wrong. People living in bubbles. What’s worse is the media is controlled by the government. To say Fox is not tied with this government is bull crap. This is literally playing out like one of a Noam Chomsky’s books.

I think the term du jour is "Developing World," but I've said before we need a term for country's like ours: "The Devolving World."
