Nobody wants to comment in this thread because they think they'll get whacked.

You mean his ability to take a high interest loan from Les?

Les probably put a clause in the contract that if Captain Bubba Gumps defaults he'll recoup the team like a used car lot does. Probably put a tracker on James Harden.

It's a free country and you are a marginalized minority with very political power. We should be able to speak our mind without fear of retribution.

So that's why he doesn't blink when he has to pay 14% interest rate on those recent loans when interest rate is at an ALL TIME LOW.

He was probably thinking, "people have to pay me 60% interest rate on 7 days loan or they get their knees capped. I can make a lot of money borrowing at 14% and loaning it out for 60%"

At least one was from mainland China... Alexander passed over concerns about how he would handle the team.

When I lived in Galveston I got to know a lot of long-time locals. The Mafia stuff is pretty common knowledge down there, and I always tell people Tillman has an edge via his Mafia roots, even though I don't think many people believe me.

    Side blurbs:

    • There's an antique place on 25th that used to be a brothel. The owner showed me around and I saw their rooms upstairs and a lot of their graffiti on the walls. **** was real.
    • I also met Concetta Maceo once when I was working a door on the Strand for Mardi Gras. She runs Maceo Spice and Import Company. Sweet lady, I let her in with no cover.
    • There's a story going around that Tillman 'convinced' the owner of the Flagship Hotel to sell to him for $600k during a very late night 'meeting'.
    • One of the old-time Galveston people told me a story about how the Maceos and the Capone gang had a standoff on the Galveston bridge in the 1920s. Capone was trying to move in on Galveston but the Maceos raised the bridge and they had a big firefight. At the end the Capones drove back to Chicago.

Texas House 26 (Sugar Land/Richmond) this past spring on the R side. Hard to compete when two of my opponents raised 2x and 3x more...
