MDA is only good fit for top 2 teams in the nba like Nash Suns and Rockets. He has 9 years experiences with mvps. I think he can try to coach 76ers and Nets.
THIBODEAU—> Never wanted talks to fail so badly in my life. But if the goal is to blow it up and start from the ground this is a good move. BOTH stars will be demanding a trade by mid season or sooner because BOTH stars have found career topping success under MDA leadership that have become their norm. When the stats start to drop (and they will) the team will brake a part from within.
I don't see how this is possible. If Morey isn't gone, no way If Morey is fired, and some son/nephew whoever is the new GM he will probably hire either a yes man bootlicker coach, or a more "sexy" choice. Thibs is known to clashing with managment so no way he is hired either way.
Pop is going to Nets. I think Tilman don’t want MDA any more. 1, Tilman says Morey is the best GM in the nba, 2. Tilman almost trade all future picks for MDA to win Champiships. Judged by result. With best GM and trading future picks for present. The result so far is 6th seed in the west.
I'd take Thibs as the defensive assistant - but i'll pass on having him as the lead dog... We've already watched MDA run guys into the ground... we sure as hell dont need more of that... Plus broke ass Tilman aint payin for Thibs... and Morey has said how coaching isnt that important... so I wouldnt anticipate any pricey coaching addition - its gonna be another JBB type scenario and another year of Hardens prime wasted... ...smh...
James might like him on a limited basis... but there aint no way James would deal with Thibs in his face day in and day out for a prolonged period.. imo...
Assistant sure, but HC: duck no! If only for one reason: the yelling. Cannot listen to any broadcast without him messing it up completely.
I'd be suprised, how many years has he got left? This is his last great chance to win a chip, unless maybe the 76ers offer him the job - which I guess could be fairly likely.
