Had Hakeem and Moses and Clyde and Francis/Mobley then Yao/TMac... could have been great when Morey lucked into Harden... but after 5 years of bad trades you're trading Capela and a 1st.... for Covington? He keeps trying to cover up his mistakes with a constant need to deal but it keeps hurting Harden. This was a wide open year and Paul was more of a championship level player than Westbrook, although not as hyper. Morey is done, never was onto something and Houston needs to move on, cheap owner or not.

Uhh. Playoff team with two MVP caliber guards. How is that “the saddest?”

Were you around for the Cato-Mo Taylor-Shandon Anderson years? Or the post Yao years where we were the 9th seed every year?

I think the Rockets of the late 90s to early 2000s was a lot sadder than now. Mobley/Francis vs Harden/Westbrook isn't even a comparison, really. I'll wait and see how the chemistry fits and how we play before making any judgments.

What makes is sad is having two MVP caliber guards and still prioritizing tax savings, giving up yet another first round pick to do so.

If we get a decent Center like Looney it will be ok. We have 2 spots available

They werent going to win championshisp but Francis and Mobley were really fun to watch for people of all ages.

Westbrook has no chemistry with anyone. The guy is a dud who puts up numbers and occasionally wins games on his own but we've seen he can't do it consistently for over a decade. Horrible FG% do not win anything.

    lmfao

    Bro...

Just wait until Harden and Morey are gone, and all that's left is Tilman. *THEN* you will see a sad era of Rockets basketball.

    @Zboy @CometsWin

Huh? Tmac/Yao era got us first round exits

Harden can sleepwalk through the first round

I really question the historical knowledge of Clutchfans

    except for some proven fans

Lol come on dude. Even I someone who infamously known for criticizing Harden, acknowledge that the Francis/Mobley era was far worse.

It's hard to say "worst era of Rocket ball" when the team has been in 7 straight playoff appearanced and is going to go on to their 8th straight appearance.

Go watch us select 14th in the draft 3 years in a row or lose game 7 to the Mavs by 40 in the 1st round or watch Carlos Boozer sh*t all over us in the 1st round for multiple years and then come back in here and tell me you're sad. That said, Tillman worries me. After Harden/Morey I fear we could become Knicks-level bad as an organization.

Yea two MVPs and we are not even contenders in most peoples eyes. Thats literally pathetic.

A 65 win team that took the most stacked roster of all time to 7 games turned into a gimmicky laughing stock within 3 years. "Saddest" is an understatement

it may be the most infuriating. but its not the saddest. come on man.

Harden is averaging a million points. That alone is less sad than my boy Scola getting us the last pick in the lottery year after year.

    THINK before you post
