Rockets vs Heat game will be broadcast in 4K?

    Heard Bull say last night during the game that tomorrow's game against the Heat would be broadcast in 4k "So be sure to tune in on the 4K channel" or something like that. Did anyone else catch that?

    Yeah I am wondering the same also.

    Whoever have the channel list please share - I assume at least Comcast should have it, not sure about dish or directv.

    Actually I think direct tv will have it. They've streamed NBA games in 4K already..

    One of the commentators mentioned putting on more makeup for the 4K.

    Pretty sure it's just a separate signal on the same channel(s) but only the better 4K televisions will pick it up and upscale to their native resolutions. Think of in terms of audio such as SAP, same idea but this is an alternative video signal.

    I think DirecTV is the only provider that has the ability to broadcast in 4K. I have Comcast and doubt I'll be able to

    Would that be on the NBAHD channel on Direct TV? I always watch Root channel, so didn't even know they broadcast any in 4K.

    They're actually not too expensive these days. A big screen 4K TV with HDR and Dolby Vision on the other hand....

    From what I have seen, 4k itself doesn't buy much for broadcast video and film. But HDR - amazing.
