seriously? i knew they got more free throws in every game, i didn't think it would be the first time ever. amazing that we overcame such a disparity with westbrook barely playing.

Game 7 was fair; the NBA dispatched Foster--its point man in terms of influencing outcomes--to give us a fair shake. HOU-LAL is a MUCH better draw than OKC-LAL would have been.

But games 3-4 to extend the series were total screwjobs by the refs. They'd been leaning on OKC's side for 6 straight games because they couldn't handle another sweep like the East had in spades. The NBA is the most narrative-driven and referee-manipulated league out of any sport besides the WWE. We all know this. The hope is that, within the confines of the narrative massaging we can one day fall upon a scenario where our narrative is the most compelling.

Against the Lakers, and prevent an All-LA WCF, this will be very difficult. The X's and O's favor Houston in this matchup, in that we've run their bigs off the floor in both matchups since the Capela trade. But the Vegas odds all heavily favor the Lakers regardless. We all know why. It's kinda like how all the polling favors Biden but Vegas has it as a dead heat in the election. We all know there's funny business that will happen along the way.
