What the CIA did would be equivalent to Saudi Arabia funding the KKK and turning it from fringe radical group to mainstream movement that some idiot would try to use to define Christianity. That idiot would be you by the way.

Everyone here understands that Saudi Arabia has labeled the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization?

terrible analogy and explanation to history comes from a person supposed to be a knowledgeable figure. he might want to justify American non involvement in Syria or try to prevent future intervention but he could had said it straightforward instead of making up his own reality. the CIA operation in ME comes in recent decades as inheritance to former British/French colonial territories. the Sykes-Picot Treaty was already in place .

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sykes–Picot_Agreement

most notable about this treaty, while the British unified entire Indian continent in one body despite having multiples difference due to racial, religious, ethnics ,and languages , they did exactly the opposite to Arab countries, they intentionally created disputed boundaries to an almost homogeneous demographical place...

now if we talk about Syria in particular , we find historical notable connection of events shaped what we witness today :

add to this , the French intelligence shaped the Nusayri to be named : Alawai so they can be linked to wider Shia population, if someone searched for Nusayri faith, he would find a dead end , it is a secret religion similar to Druz. they even re-named the Wahsh family (Beast to become Assad=Lion) to add an enhanced image.almost every single minor details orchestrated by the French.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alawites

in the same time France was working on other related projects like giving Israel the nuclear weapon and plan to invade Egypt

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_weapons_and_Israel#Pre-Dimona_1949.E2.80.931956

France played a major rule in recruiting Khomeini and aiding the Iranian revolutions, he was given massive media propaganda and pushed for selecting individuals to work within the Shah regime to weakening him , and finally escorting him to Tehran. ironically , when someone died under Shah's regime , the pain echoed world wide, but when Khomeini massacred thousands on weekly bases ,it was just an ugly nature of revolution

ironically , the first thing this masterpiece of intelligence work is the American embassy hostage crises , soon after the Beirut bombing

and this wonderful French efforts still fruitful to this day..., and no one should be surprised if almost a proxy of nation's fight against the well of Syrian's people

as for the CIA, assassination of King faisal of Saudi Arabia for the oil embargo in the 70s or forcing Mubarak to step down is more of a possible logical track to their interests but overall , they seems a few steps behind, they are mainly late in the game

Im not sure but I heard he is into recycling.

thread topic sure..one of the interesting things to me is to see a seemingly normal poster in ATW become a extremist in his own right. it has been an interesting follow these last 18 years. I sorta view ATW as a patient in this mental institute called cf. there is a tinge of that breikvik norway nutter guy going on here.

the only real answer appears to be lithium

people will say 'but were there warning signs!?!' and all of us will give a collective sigh of 'yes' and 'no one did anything!?!' sadly the answer was no.

I posted about it in vain apparently. myself, and others owned him with facts...yet the mania only became worse.

the end is neigh. he has become watch list obsession in its own right. from benefit of the doubt 18 year angle - all I can say is-Im genuinely concerned about ATW islamophobia. this is a very intense extremism. very fascinating. carry on...
