Man, what fond memories I have if this guy Remember him coming to the Sam Houston Coliseum often during his Mid-South and UWF days. Ted Dibiase (Million Dollar Man) and him were one heck of a tag team.

    He was only 49.

Pro wrestler Steve 'Dr. Death' Williams dies
    December 30, 2009 | 12:15 pm

Wrestlingobserver.com is reporting that pro wrestling star Steve "Dr. Death" Williams, who was considered one of the top wrestlers in the world during the late '80s and early '90s, has died after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Williams, 49, had been battling the disease for several years. He is probably best known for his tag team with Terry Gordy and was a major star in the '90s for All Japan Pro Wrestling.

Williams was also a lineman at Oklahoma and a four-time All-American heavyweight wrestler.

Awe man, he was Hacksaw Jim Duggan's bad guy rival. Loved wrestling back in the day.

Will they bury him with his arm in a cast? Because they should.

    RIP

In addition to his time on Houston Wrestling, I remember Dr. Death from his days in Kevin Sullivan's "Varsity Club" with Rick Steiner and Mike Rotunda.

    Sad, sad news.

Sounds like the doctor got a little taste of his own medicine.

Wow...that wasn't in really poor taste or anything.

You might want to wait for the body to become cold before making wisecracks about his death.

    RIP

...i googled imaged & was mistaken. I thought he was older, wore a black & white mask & his go-to move was a well timed vertical knee to the head.
