It's really sad. Letting it go reflects poorly on clutchfans, clutch, and the rocket's championship era.

 

Look, I remember that shot - at first thinking it was not going to count as everyone looked a bit stunned, and then Kareem lying on the floor in disbelief.

But at the same time, why you have to hate on T-mac? That 22 game winning streak was awesome, so was the 13 in 33 seconds. There's plenty of room for all of it. Sad thing is that this team doesn't have a lot of great moments in the last 20 years. No need to beat up on those who aren't old enough to have seen the glory years.

 

Exactly. I became a Rockets fan at the tail-end of the Stevie Franchise era...I recognize Olajuwon as the one true God, but I didn't get to enjoy the championship years live (twas a toddler), thus I don't treasure that era the same way others do. I loved the exciting moments/glimmers of hope that the Yao/Tmac years provided..I don't think that makes me any less of a Rockets fan than tinman or any other 99er.

It's insulting to see myself and others constantly berated for not being the "type of Rockets fan" that tinman prefers. It's not because I'm sensitive, internet trolls don't get under my skin. It's just tiresome and takes away from otherwise productive discussion on this forum.
