I'm far from an expert... but to me it looks like you start your shooting motion very low (at your belt), which would make it easy for a decent defender to block and/or strip the ball from you.
You're hoisting that shot put from your neck and lunging forward. Takes way too long to set up and you can only shoot it when no defender is around. Too easy to block. Need to work on catching, going straight up, releasing and flipping the wrist. Other than that, you ok.
man your shot would get the **** blocked out of it where I play. But I guess you only shoot when you're completely wide open
This thread is actually a good idea, I would really like advice/tips on my own shot as well. I'll upload a video once I get time to go to the gym next.
