The best show in television history makes its long-awaited return tonight. For those of you who have never seen it, I can't recommend watching the first 5 seasons strongly enough. I've watched alot of tv in my day, and this show blows them all away.
Great show. I'm more excited about this than I am about the return of The Sopranos. It's definitely in my Top 10 shows of all-time, probably in the Top 5. If this show aired on HBO, people wouldn't shut up about it. Sadly, it languishes in relative obsucrity on FX.
The last episode of season five blew me away - last ten minutes surprised the hell out of me. I had no idea that was going to happen.
This is what I have been waiting for. The Shield tonight and The Sopranos on Sunday. Life does not get much better than this.
I like The Shield also, but I like The Wire much more. They are both similar in that they both deal with inner city gangs, drugs and that there is alot of politics involved in both shows.
It has eclipsed 24 in my book as best show on television. 5 seasons and it gets better and better, I haven't seen a bad episode yet. Interessting deep storylines and characters. Can't wait for a torrent to come out for the premiere.
