All series talk goes in here. Non series talk goes somewhere else. No PBP, that can be found from other sources if you need it. All games are broadcast on AT&T Sports SW unless otherwise noted.

We should start Luis Garcia tonight just to be confusing.

Bielak getting skipped means Astros have a middle reliever available today.

Hmmm...interesting...Greinke goes Friday in Anaheim, which means Bielak goes Saturday...wonder who else goes Saturday since it's a doubleheader? Doubt they'd bring back Valdez on 3 days rest as then everyone else gets moved up as well leading into the Oakland series where we probably have another doubleheader. Our staff is about to get tested with a probable 12 games in 10 days

I thought I heard that Urquidy was targeting this weekend for his return? Maybe we keep the 6 man rotation during this 12 games in 10 days run.

    Springer CF
    Altuve 2B
    Brantley LF
    Gurriel 1B
    Tucker DH
    Correa SS
    Reddick RF
    Toro 3B
    Garneau C
    LHP Valdez

Astros manager Dusty Baker said Alex Bregman and Josh James (both on the IL) are back in Houston, and Bregman may go on the road trip with hopes of being activated at some point while they're out.

Baker talked to Verlander the other day and Verlander said he's throwing 20-25 pitches and feeling good. There is no timetable on his possible return.

Dusty Baker made it sound like either Lance McCullers Jr. or Zack Greinke will start on Thursday against the Rangers. Whoever doesn't will start on Friday against the Angels in Anaheim.

Grew to love Chirinos while he was over here. Glad I don't have to root against him today (or the rest of the year!).

Dear lord Garneau. If it was an accurate throw then maybe it does beat him but it wasn't so Altuve had to move to try and it.

Infield hit, E1 was the correct ruling IMO.

Old Framber showed up in the 1st. I liked the new version better.

2 runs is nice, but as long as Astros offense shows up...the Rangers wasted their shot on Framber.

Yes. He catches Valdez and Bielak; Maldonado catches ZG/LMJ/Javier

Nitwitzki is so damn annoying. Their play by play isn't so bad but nitwitzki needs to be chopped in the throat.

Is it twice now that Kind of Falafel has dribbled ball to Framber and run inside the base line to first?

I know this make shock some people, but the Rangers have dropped off my hate list. I know, I know, how can that be? They are from southern Oklahoma after all?

    1) Well, Bannister isnt around anymore. His arrogance used to raise my blood pressure every time that guy came into the camera view.
    2) Some other teams have doubled down on pissing me off, closing the gap.
    3) The Rangers are sellers, or is that Cellars? In any case, they pose no playoff threat for years to come (hopefully).

I just dont see that swagger they once had, except maybe for Odor. Still dont like THAT guy. I still dont like these guys, but I can root for them when they play the A's, , TB, NYY or Dodgers.
