A shame...was an out away from somehow turning that into a quality start.

The M's are sticking it to us this series. They remember what we did to them last time in Seattle apparently.

Enrique Hernandez, a 22-year-old Astros utility man who looked younger than a 2014 draft pick the Astros put on the podium Tuesday, made a promise to his aging grandfather five years ago.

“He’s older, he’s 91 right now,” said Hernandez, who was shredding minor league pitching and before his promotion to the major leagues on Tuesday. “He was like, ‘You got to promise me that I’m going to see you play in the big leagues before I die. I went back home in the offseason, I saw him. I was like, ‘I better hurry up, he’s getting old.’”

Good for Hernandez. Unlike the other big prospects that have been coming up recently, making the majors was never a guarantee for him, so I imagine him and his family appreciate it that much more.

Prior to this season he was barely even organizational depth, but he killed it at AAA this season, so he certainly earned this promotion.

I'm just following box scores most nights, but what's going on with Singleton? Seems like he can't make contact :(

Kike has to be having one of the best starts to a career of anyone in Astros history.
