Wasn't even a full swing... as it seems that he usually eases up on his "swing for the fences" mentality when there's guys on base. Thus far, he seems to be an even "better" hitter with runners on base... can't really say that's a "problem" in his game.
And just took over the lead for slugging. With a few more walks (which will come), he'll be the OPS leader running away.
Last night he pulled a foul ball into the upper deck before he hit his 2nd HR Today he just missed a HR by a few feet, before he hit his HR. Dude is locked in, even when he is late on a swing he has the pop to drive it out.
Yep... team was full of slow starters during the long-ball era, and the Astrodome certainly didn't help things prior to that.
If I was a Seattle fan, I'd totally be complaining that this guy is simply throwing junk right down the middle (which those last two HR balls certainly were). But on the flip-side, its all "great hitting!"
