Pete Munro beat the hell out of Tim Redding in the shower before a game because he was sick of his little “jokes” and antics. Supposedly Redding hit Munro in the side with a bar of soap in a sock earlier. As for Danny Darwin, challenged Nolan Ryan to a fight for being a “fake cowboy”. Ryan didn’t usually back down but wanted no part of Darwin... in some parts of Texas Darwin was famous for his bar fights, not playing baseball.
Nope, but they must be putting him in the rotation because the timetable for the pen was over a week ago.
Well that game sucked. At the end of the day, we're a **** show. Just gotta go undefeated the rest of the year for our World Series banner to be complete.
Sadly, I think your right. But where there is any luck, there is a chance. And history proves that long shots every so often beat the odds and go all the way. And I would add that in those cases, those teams were written off early as well.
It doesn't even surprise me with Biagini at this point. He could give up 30 runs and I wouldn't be shocked. I've never seen a worse "pitcher" in my life.
He's just not a quality major league pitcher anymore. He was good for about 30 seconds last year and that's about it.
In You know I was looking up his career stats just now, and umm, they aren't good. I thought maybe he was just having a rough year with us, but his ERA was awful last year too. Career ERA just a bit north of 5.
Danny Darwin might be the biggest badass the Astros ever had. He didn’t look like much, but he was the real deal.
Astros need either some healthier pitching or need to make some trades to shore up the middle relief.
Bielak had no business starting that game on short rest. At best, there should have been an opener with Bielak coming again against the soft part of the lineup. If Astros are going to keep "starting" Bielak, they need to go to an opener until he can find a way to miss bats to limit the damage the top of the order can do.
