This is legitimately the first big news story in 2020 that's made me smile.

God I hate the Yankees but most importantly their insufferable, northeasterner, jaggoff fans.

Is it really a big news story? East coast/west coast bias is stopping ESPN and other big sports outlets from reporting anything. Houston is fair game though.

Judge Jed Rakoff has roots in Philly and Boston... hopefully no pro-Yankee bias...

Bill James from the top ropes, ladies and gents:

I hope this is the pervasive understanding sooner rather than later. James summed it up perfectly...laughably naive.

I mean, we all knew this right? If there is ANY justice in this world, and there’s not, but if there were, that **** sucker Manfred would get fired over this and replaced by someone with the balls to conduct an unbiased and fair investigation into the entire league. MLB handled this situation abysmally. I’d also like to hear something from Jim Crane. Stand up for your team, Jim. If not now, then when?! Manfred made you his b****. Time for a little payback.

Why would the owners fire a person that is protecting them? You actually need a McGwire-Palmeiro-esque congressional investigation to get to the bottom of this... which is not going to happen.

"Rakoff is a lifelong fan of the New York Yankees, and keeps a baseball signed by Mariano Rivera in a glass case on his desk."

The fact that Manfred's hypocracy cost Luhnow and Hinch their jobs is what's really wrong with everything that happened. We can only hope Click is 1/2 as good Luhnow and I hope he's twice as ruthless.

Has ESPN or any other major network started talking about this yet?

It feels like everyone was talking about the Astros.

But not the good boy Yankees. They would never do anything like this.

Where this seems to be headed is Manfred defending his biased strategy basically saying he did what he did for the good of baseball. What that really means is that he deemed the image of Yankees and Red Sox as crucial to baseball but not the Astros. I so hope this catches heat and gets lots of media minutes. There are not many things I can think of that a baseball commissioner could do worse than this.

Oh how I hope his personal image is tarnished to hell over this.

Absolutely nothing. Even on Boston's page, it has a picture of Cora with an Astros hat.
