Ehh , absorbed CP3 is only good if we get a free agent out of it .

Even if we give him away for nothing it's not enough to open a max ... when you consider we have to move more just to have a chance at courting a max FA .... I think we are keeping CP3 lol

 

Pretty much, Atlanta eats on Crabbe for a future 1st, plus they get the 17th pick for Prince and a future 2nd rounder, which is interesting cause, Prince is young, but he's also a player who didn't show consistency, he didn't exactly show what kind of player he's going to be, and in a year he's going to be a (restricted) free agent...personally, i think Capela should have more value.

Brooklyn can add a lot of big free agents and even keep D'Angelo Russell. Given how they don't need point guards or centers, only fantasy three-team trades can involve them.

I’ve have 3 possible causes for the infatuation.

I always thought off season trades and signings did not start until July 1st?

 

Capela and unprotected first for prince 2 years 6 million contract and 8th pick.
Save 60 million dollars for free agents.

 

You can make trades now. In fact, that trade isn't official until July 7th and new new league year starts.

Further, it is still possible that that trade gets spun up into a 3rd team/multi-team trade and gets bigger.

Covington is a role player making 10M a year, Capela is a starting center making 16M a year, in terms of value Capela is way more valuable. This is a dumb AF trade we need to change the coach not the players.

CC isnt horrible he just doesnt need to be sick and MDA just doesnt know how to coach. Look at Raptors going big vs GSW MDA went ultra small ball against them and let freaking Kevon Looney have a career night.

At the end of the day Clint is a 25 yr old double double machine, Rox should be developing his offensive skillset this summer not trading him.

 

The argument being we had what turned out to be one of the best 3+D role players in the league on a minimum contract sitting in our laps. Theoretically the perfect fit for what we try to do.

 

Can't agree about CC... he was so horrible during playoffs I can't trust him anymore. He played worse than previous year, so I am not hopeful about him.
