My wife doesn't really care about sports but sometimes she would watch the games with me. Now I don't believe in superstitions but whenever my wife watched Rockets games, we would lose. Sometimes when she stopped watching to do something else, Rockets would miraculously come back and win from down double digits. We both joke about it all the time but always thought it was just coincidence. Tonight we came back from out of town. I turned on my computer and caught myself with Rockets coming back with strings of 3 pointers. With less than 50 seconds to go, we were up 2 with Garcia's 3. My wife heard me and came to the living room to celebrate with me. Sure enough Durant took a shot and it's like there was a magnet under the net, the luckiest shot I've ever seen happened just right before Rockets were about to clinch their first playoff win. I told my wife we still got the last possession if we shoot quickly. Then comes Harden's dumbest turnover at the worst time. Well after tonight's game, I really can't but believe the jinx is real. I just want to apologize to the organization and all the fans. I'll make sure she won't see a darn thing on Monday night.
