If I were the gm of the 76ers, here's what I would do. I would explore trade options, dangle Jahlil Okafor to the thunder, trying to get them to give up Steven Adams. The next thing I'd do would be to offer the #1 pick in the draft to Utah for Rudy Gobert. Next I would draft Tyler Ulis. I would try to move up to get him if I have to. Rudy Gobert Steven Adams Tyler Ulis. With these guys you can build a core. There are obviously other moves, but I would try to establish a core. Gobert and Adams would be a boon if I could get them for that.
It's a process. I think that Gobert and Adams would lock up your interior defense and make the team top 10 in defense from the moment they put on a uniform. Of course you don't have a star yet, but what you do have is a core, and a style of play. I think people would think you are crazy, they wouldn't know how to deal with you if you told them this is what you wanted. Gobert and Adams are winners. I know this. Ingram and Simmons like sexy but that don't mean a whole lot.
Conversly, I wouldn't give up the #1 pick in the draft for James Harden or Kyrie Irving. I value Gobert a lot more than these guys.
Trade Noel to Hawks for Teague Offer Bradley beal max Draft Ben Simmons Keep okafor Go after Harrsion Barnes or some top small forward for your second max cap space slot and your line up looks like this Pg Teague Sg Beal Sf Barnes Pf Simmons C okafor
Lol the core is Adams and gobert. What a terrible mix at the 4 and 5. That team is worse than what philly is now.
Isn't Noel a better Gobert (talking potential here). They need to pair Noel with a PG (the previous idea of Teague sounds good) or a Point forward (Simmons is the most obvious)... or get both.
