    Televised concerts don't count. Has to be from a TV show (Letterman, SNL, Leno, etc.). Music shows like ACL or Jools Holland don't count either. And no lip syncing allowed!

    Morrissey on the Tonight Show - Not really a fan of these songs..but it takes some balls to sing "There's a Place in Hell for Me and My Friends" for your first appearance on the Tonight Show (which was a HUGE show at the time for the parental-age people)

    My favorite musical performance on TV. I remember watching this
    thinking "Holy S!@#!!!" They killed the ending.

    Sonic Youth's Network Television Debut on Letterman...always make me think of that scene from Back to the Future..."I guess you guys aren't ready for that yet. But your kids are gonna love it."

    FEAR!!! What a great band, I Love Livin' In the City has always been a favorite but they've got a ton of great songs.

    Eddie Van Halen sitting in with Letterman's band in 85, Johnny Carson was a guest that night:
