Since there are pretty much no other sporting events to watch, anyone else watching marble racing? Evidently this vid has gone viral and is actually quite entertaining :p

I haven't seen a choke job that big since the time a four year old found that dude's marble jar.

    That is fantastic stuff.

Online chicken **** bingo could make you some money.

If you had a chicken. And a cage. And a live feed.

Just caught on to this. Absolutely genius.

I'm a fan of Pollo Loco.

Why, yes. Yes, I have. Right at the beginning of all this, it came to my attention, and I do believe I've watched every single video on Jelle's Marble Runs since then. Some many times. The production quality and attention to detail is incredible.

Jelle and his crew are some of the entertainment heroes of lockdown. Their Marbula One series had just started and was an absolute triumph week after week with very little delay in premieres. In fact, they now have a racing series formally sponsored by Virgin Racing and Formula E that has all the marbles repped by real racing brands: Marbula E. And now John Oliver is sponsoring Marble League 2020 (a.k.a. the Marblelympics) which should be coming up soon.

Great entertainment and an incredible success story for a Dutch guy who just really, really loves marbles.

I have sadly (or not?!?!) been watching marble videos on YouTube with my kids for a few years now. Jelle and Fubeca seem to be the best.

even more sadly my older kids have moved on to the hundreds of Fortnite youtubers.... though we also do stuff like Brave Wilderness.

YouTube is an amazing platform. Long term perhaps as impactful to the traditional media model as Netflix has been.

We used to do this with blades of grass on city streets as people watered their yards and the water overflowed and ran down the street. Of course with all this water conservation garbage now, they ruined all that! jk. lol. It's oddly entertaining watching the marble races, though.

I know, right? It pretty much has everything. Comet gets a big lead, chokes it up, but finds the heart of a champion to recover for the win!

This was an intense race. One of the best I've seen. And Greg and Jack are gelling really well by now as announcers. I do hope Formula E will let Greg do some guest racing commentary when it gets back.
