How would you distribute the minutes? What's your rotation? What do you think could be some interesting lineups?

    Here's what I got:

PG: Paul 32 min Harden 16 min

SG: Harden 16 min Gordon 32 min

SF: Ariza 18 min PJ Tucker 30 min

PF: Anderson 30 min Ariza 18 min

    C: Capela 28 min Nene 20 min

    Starter Rotation: Paul/Harden/Ariza/Anderson/Capela
    Bench Rotation: Harden/Gordon/Tucker/Ariza/Nene

    Defense: Paul/Harden/Tucker/Ariza/Nene

    Run: Paul/Gordon/Harden/Ariza/Capela

I think that will be our default day-to-day 8 man rotation. And then people will scoot up and down depending on who will prove to have the most impact: Troy Williams, Tarik Black, Luc Moute... As good as Isaiah Taylor may prove out to be, I don't think a #9 or a #10 in the rotation is going to be had at the 1. I think the 1 and 2 are locked up by Harden/Paul/Gordon and maybe Tucker sliding into the 2 spot everyone once in a while to help James play point and get help on defending guards.

But I'm excited about 48 minutes, 100% of every game with having at least 1 of the 2 best, most elite playmakers in the league on the court. Also both Harden and Paul will be playing 100% of the time with either a lob target in Capela, or a super solid PnR roller in Nene. And both Paul and Harden are elite with lobs and PnR.

Also I like our defensive guys: Paul. Ariza. Tucker. Clint can grab boards and block. Nene is an enforcer in the paint. I think with the playmaking help Paul provides you'll see Harden again destroying old narratives.

I think our depth and the way we're built, we're better than OKC. We're better than the Spurs. We have the best shot on the Western Conference side to compete against Golden State. Cavs look stacked but they have a lot of injury concerns: IT with the hip, Derek Rose injury prone, Wade injury prone, Korver, Love....

With good health and a little luck I like the way this team is built. The ceiling is through the roof. Losing Melo might be a blessing in disguise. Anderson would always be afraid to shoot it if someone was closer than 3 ft, but could you imagine how even more open he would be with Harden AND Paul on the court? And both those cats feeding him? Last time Melo dissed us he injured his knee, fought with coaches and was terrible for his team. I'm not saying it's a curse but: Melo, Bosh, Parsons... Anderson was a big reason why we were so good last year. Maybe a 2nd season in a Rockets jersey will improve that home court 3pt%.

I listed Luc as a #9, #10 guy if the rotation expands beyond 8 man. Is he good? I don't know much about him. I honestly got Troy Williams as my guy who I think will be proving his case the hardest for minutes. He looked really good last year when given a chance and he followed that up with a strong SL performance.

I'm smoking? He was starting PF playing 29.4 mpg last year on a team that had the 2nd best record in the NBA. Who do you have taking minutes from him? Tarik Black, a center?

i hope we sign a reliable backup PG to play 6-8min and then reduce EG's minutes down to 26

Just remove Harden's name from any defensive minded line-ups and we're good.

Mbah will be playing, especially in defense line-ups with Tucker at the 2.

This is disappointing. All these posts and no one owns cajones to post some rotations or minutes.
Yes 3rd. He played 30 minutes as starting PF on a 55 win 3rd best overall in the NBA team.

Tucker isn't playing PF, home boy. Luc I could see getting minutes in at PF. Where do you have Anderson's minutes then?

I'm a little torn on melo's minutes. do we save him for the playoffs or go all out for the #1 seed?

Some people saying Luc is a good defender but his DRtg over the last 3 years on average is worse than Harden's DRtg over the last 3 years. Is it cause his offense isn't really so great so people over-hype his defense?

I really hope he and others can contribute, but at $20 million a year I think it's pretty silly if people are thinking Ryan Anderson, a starting stretch 4 who scored ~14 ppg and shot over 40% from 3 last year and was a key ingredient on a wildly successful team is going to play anything less than starter minutes (28-30 mpg)

    Paul(32)/Harden(16)
    Harden(18)/Gordon(20)
    Ariza(28)/Tucker(20)
    Anderson(28)/Mbah a Moute(16)/Ariza(4)
    Capela(28)/Nene(20)

Pretty straightforward, I see Ariza playing spot minutes as a small ball 4 in some situations.

    That looks solid.

Edit: you mean 30 minutes for Gordon or else you got 10 minutes of 4 on 5

    Paul(31)/Harden(17)
    Harden(15)/Gordon(23)
    Ariza(20)/Tucker(20)/Harden(4)
    Anderson(28)/Mbah a Moute(16)/Ariza(4)
    Capela(28)/Nene(20)

Small tweaks to @mfastx lineup. I see Paul playing slightly less minutes than Harden due to age, and I see a few minutes where gordon, harden, and paul are in at the same time. I agree that Mbah a Moute will likely be the backup 4. I think Black takes Nene's minutes on second nights of back to backs, and may steal some minutes in certain favorable matchups. I'm rooting hard for Troy to be good enough to make the rotation, but I wouldn't count on it. I don't see anyone else having a realistic chance of cracking the rotation barring injury.

    Paul (32) Harden (16)
    Harden (12) Gordon (28) Tucker (8)
    Ariza (20) Tucker (16) Luc (8) Harden (4)
    Anderson (28) Ariza (10) Luc (10)
    Capela (28) Nene (20)

When / If Nene needs to rest or is on IR you'll see Black (Have high hopes for Tarik. I really liked him for the brief moment he was a Rocket. Especially have high hopes for Tarik now with Chuck mother****ing Hayes as one of our Big Men coaches. Roy Rogers & Chuck Hayes and veteran Nene together are a good foundation for all our young bigs)
Any wing goes down, you'll see Troy (Troy could be a baller this year)
If God forbid Paul or Harden get dinged up and have to miss a game or 2, you'll see Isaiah Taylor play a little back up I would think.

positionless basketball. so many different lineup combinations with the additions this offseason. will very much depend on matchups and what lineups work well together. cp3 isn't just going to be playing pg. he'll be off the ball at times. pj and moute can interchange bw any of the 2-4 positions. Definitely a lot more versatility this year, especially on the defensive end.
