Going to Vegas for the first time. I'm sure a few of you can offer some advice on my trip. Just wanted to pack in as much fun as I can. Any recommendations?
I'm going to Vegas for the first time in August as well. Me and my two friends all turned 21 this year, and we're staying at Treasure Island. We're planning on going skydiving and watching a few shows, other than that we don't really have much plans. Is the Grand Canyon easily accessible from Vegas?
ha I was going to msg u a bunch of info, but check this site http://www.goingtovegas.com/index.htm#menu pay attention especially the transportation, if your going to be on Circus Circus, your best off doing the shuttle instead of taxi, a lot cheaper ($2? per person each trip to go down the strip). There are 2 different buses, one that stops at every casino, and the other that stops every 2-3 casinos. for cheap blackjack, I went to Casino Royal and O'Sheas Casino that is near Harrah's, $5min for single deck blackjack if your are into buffets, Harrah's owned Casinos are doing some deal where you pay $35 (when u sign up for their free players club card) and you can eat at 7 different casino buffets as much as you want for 24 hours. If you are planning to do at least 2, its worth it, because most of them start out at $20/person anyway. http://www.harrahs.com/buffets/faq.html the website says $40 with players club, but it was plastered everywhere last weekend for $35, I highly doubt they changed it just now, if not, its still a good deal with the increase have a good time, let me know how it goes
Awesome. Some great info that I was looking for. We actually have a rental car while we are there. Thanks for the tips.
I've been twice in the past year The grand canyon is a pretty easy drive although it is somewhat lengthy... If your going to see a show i would recommend the Blue Man Group at the Venitan it is amazing! What ever you do dont see KA by cirus oley it is by far the worst one if you are into a cirus oley show i recommend O it is great! Check out some of the clubs you can get free passes form guys on the street, even if clubs aren't your thing Vegas clubs are defiantly something to see.. O and hit the buffets they are the only way to do food in vegas, all other forms of food are extremely expensive (a subway footlong is $9.50) let me know if you have any specific questions and ill let you know
A rental car in Vegas? Seems pretty worthless unless you are staying off the strip and visiting friends or something. It would be an absolute nightmare trying to drive between casinos and parking.
yeah i was thinking the same thing... There are very few areas to park and when you do find a hotel with parking garage (the large ones) there grages are outrageously expensive...
I agree with this, a taxi ride to your hotel one way is about $15, if your just staying in the strip, public transportation with the Monorail/shuttles is the way to go.
No need for a rental car. Never gone to grand canyon, but know its a whole day trip. not really worth it to me if im in vegas for only 3 days. I hated the show O, but its very popular. I recommend going to see Love (beatles) at the mirage. Jersey Boys is also good. All the clubs listed were good, but be prepared to drop some serious $$ to get in or prepare to wait in line for hours. I will be there Aug 6-8th.
Got to make a trip over to Cali, and probably going to the Grand Canyon, thats why we got the car, probably taking taxi around town.
This, I got marreid in April this year and had a big crowd come. We had a party here. This place is insane. The biggest club you will ever see.
