Kobe just being Kobe. Only difference is media cameras were there to capture it. But Nick Young has the right mindset here: "You can't back down from a challenge, no matter who it is," Young said. "Me and Kobe are always going to talk trash and get into it. When he talks to everybody else, some people tend to shy away and I was telling them you have to have some cajones in this league. It doesn't matter who it is. Play your game. Don't get any less confident out there. Talk trash right back to him." As he left the Lakers' training facility, Bryant smiled again when asked about Thursday's practice. "Back in my younger days," Bryant said, "I used to practice like that every day." We'll see how Lin responds but my guess is he'll beta his way to the end of the bench never to be seen again.
Whaddaya mean probably?? They paid Kobe because fanbois will still pay to come and watch him play for the next 2 years, in the meantime they can tank hard, and Kobe's contract is way too big for him to demand a trade to anywhere else! And Kobe will be motivated to keep going by that carrot of finishing as the all time scoring leader.
