We still have an MVP on our team, how many does OKC have again?

I said Yes because Russ is fun and the capela trade resulted in a fun experiment, but my heart knows CP3+Capela still on the team would probably have fought for the 1st seed. With the long lay off and easier bubble schedule, you'd imagine there'd be no worry about CP3's ability to stay healthy either. I was originally really pissed we broke it up at the same time GS breaks it up. Made no sense to me, but i'm having fun with this team and i won't feel heart broken if we lose. Maybe its the circumstances, but i'm just relaxed and excited to watch stress free.

Oh, and Russ the Rocket post December, is just a really fun player to root for after all those years of hating on him and his brick chucking in OKC.

This thread is a moot point.
Doesn't matter what I think, or you think or even what Daryl thought.

(Personally, I'd prefer CP over Russ)

But, apparently CP got sideways with James and James wanted CP OUT.
Made a push to bring in his childhood friend and best bud Russ instead.
Does Morey KEEP CP and leave his star player irritated? Not a chance.
This trade was made by James. And James is going to have to live with having Russ as his sidekick
    for better or worse.

OP should ask James who he would rather have?
And the question has already been answered

Sure. Can't go back into time. I n don't think anyone wouldn't want a prime injury free cp3.

One of the reasons we unloaded CP3 was his playoff injury history. So Russ is now injured for the playoffs(1st few games anyway). F#cking wonderful. What a stroke of f#cking bad luck, or is it fate. This bites!!!!!! All those picks maybe for nothing, Can you tell I am upset? I am f#cking REAL upset!!!!!

Wait... Have you been confusing "blessing in disguise" for "blessing in the skies" this whole time??....

Yes, you absolutely make the Russ trade.

Especially after Butler spurned the Rockets.

You still taking Anthony Davis over him?

    That's what I thought...

Absolutely, I do that trade again because CP3 was busted on this team. We never got consistent health or production out of him as much I loved his play. Westbrook is all go all the time and we have found a way to harness the best out of him. I always commented that if he took 15 shots or less his team won. He may not exactly be doing that but with Harden there is no 4Q 3 point chucking that lost his team games.

The missing part of this conversation has nothing to do with CP3 or Russ and everything to do with a $20M anchor that sat on our bench for 2 years when we had CP3 that WAS the single difference between us winning or losing a chip. Ryno. NO team makes a $20M dud of a mistake on a team with nothing to show for it and wins. These picks should have been traded 2 years ago to get us out of that contract and something useful and we are likely sitting with 2 chips right now going for our 3rd. Perspective is a hell of a thing.
