Daryl Morey needs to advise for a rebuild.

Rockets need to trade Westbrook and Harden.

Enough is Enough, these 2 low IQ players are going to pick the Coach.

He’s definitely not a low IQ player but absolutely should not be picking the head coach. These guys want Lucas because it’s the most comfortable for them. That is all, IMO.

I remember Lucas back when he played for us, a #1 draft pick as a point guard (who happened to be a terrific tennis player) who was set to start for us at the one for at least the next decade. All ruined by the guy due to cocaine. Well, those years are far behind him and he's helped countless people with addiction since then. I'm glad to see him on the bench with the Rockets. What I don't want to see is Lucas as our head coach.

During the current upheaval with the Rockets due to Morey's sudden departure, our head coach understandably heading out the door, with 6 players currently under contract, two each making over $40 million next season, with one of those two one of the best players in the league and the other coming off his worst season in years, but due about $150 million over the next three seasons, the team pretty much capped out . . . and John Lucas as head coach?

We need a well respected, experienced head coach or assistant coach groomed for the next level by some of the best head coaches in the business, and Luke isn't that guy, in my opinion. He needs to be able to stand up to the meddling he's going to get from the Fertitta's, and have at least some influence over both player acquisition and who we get in the draft. Again, I don't see Luke as that guy. I want him to keep working with the players, but another choice for head coach.

Smart in certain situations, but advocating to trade for WB, asking cp3 get the boot for advocating ball movement and spamming step back 3s to no avail when the lanes are open are low iq tendencies. He’s actually pretty calculated and smart, but has melo tendencies. I blame the carefree offense and no discipline he’s been through during his time here

He is black. He can relate to the in a very real way on a number of issues out side of basketball.

I know what a difference it can make from personal experience.

Well then why not Silas? He seems to be ready and has been groomed to be a head coach. Lucas is a player development mentor. Silas is black and closer in age to Harden and the guys.

Gimme a ****ing break they are proffesionals if they need life guidance then use some of that milions and hire psychologist(may even be black). The teams headcoach should be decided on his headcoaching skills solely and the only factual data about Lucas is that he is ****ing horrible and I thought rockets are analytics not racial driven club

Harden is scared someone like JVG will force him to do something hard like learn to move without the ball so he'd rather have Lucas who will let him do whatever he wants all game long.

Silas has not been a head coach in the league and there is not an existing relationship. Harden shot Silas down back when MDA was brought on. Harden said it was important that his HC had head coaching experience. Although that could have been a shot at Mchale who at the time had no head coaching experience prior to coming to the rockets. Black people want to see other black people succeed and cringe when other people of color fail.
It's just part of our makeup.

Lucas is already on the team. Are you saying he can only relate this by being their head coach?
