1/20 is actually phenomenal for a rockets front office that consisters thousands of trades for every one it executes.

What’s your track record? I’ve never seen you post anything even slightly informative, so I’m curious, you’re like 0 out of his many?

Oh, I've learned the "capitalist" trailer-trash love to expect the often-black athletes to take less money so the often-white owners can keep more.

Cyber has the jimmy info on lock! sweet.....

Jimmy Butler isn't a fan of "talking about it." He's all about proving it on the court.

Despite the money rumor, Jimmy wants to win more than anything. He forced himself out of Antarctica because he could not win there with guys who were soft.

And, Jimmy doesn't immediately want to be "Robin," unless he's playing with another "Robin" with the same priorities. Jimmy isn't building a brand. He's trying to win without excuses.

I recall:LBJ produced 2Chainz recent album and despite being the GOAT, we saw LBJ alienating teammates, sulk day-to-day as the face of a failed season (not his fault...but damn, signing Lance, Rajon, JaVale and SuperCoolBeas was...LOL), publicly deal with the loss of Magic and then be viewed as a dysfunctional organization with employees who don't know how to Blind Copy emails....

Perhaps, Jimmy wants to walk into a situation where winning is the priority.

Then again, who would have thought Snake Durant would join a 73-9 team because he was tired of competing?

If Jimmy wants all that, I hope Morey works to nab Tobias who was within reach before everyone and their mother finally saw one of the most versatile, talented players the league will see for the next 10 years.

When Embiid goes down AGAIN and AGAIN with season-ending injuries, he'll regret playing with Ben. Tobias will find a way out if injuries take over and Ben can't make a jumper

Jimmy not building a brand, is that a knock on Lebron and James Harden who grew their brands?

    Thanks, man. Always appreciated.

What you haven't learned is how to identify who is "capitalist trailer-trash". You always just try to interject this irrelevant crap into basketball threads. I don't get it?

I don't think you know the demographics of Clutchfans. It's really diverse. Your posts always make you seem really desperate to score some political points against an invisible enemy. In that sense, you're an ace at American politics.

Jimmy Butler will not be a priority for the Mavericks this summer, relays Mike Fisher of 247Sports.
The Mavs have been linked to Butler, a Texas-native, since last summer when trouble arose in Minnesota. While Butler's skill set seems like it would be a perfect fit next to Luka Doncic, Fisher posits that the organization doesn't want his personality to cause any harm in the locker room full of younger talent. Butler didn't cause any issues in Philadelphia, but he was playing for another contract and may have decided to tone it down a notch. Though it appears he isn't wanted by the Mavs, Butler still has multiple suitors lined up this summer.

    https://247sports.com/nba/mavericks/Article/Scoop-The-Luka-related-reason-the-Mavs-wont-be-bidding-on-free-agent-Jimmy-Butler-132313452/

But book this: Jimmy Butler, so often disgruntled, so often at the center of team turbulence, so often ball-dominant to the point of selfishness, will not be a Dallas priority this summer.

And the reason is Luka Doncic.

In another time and another place, maybe the Mavs would decide that coach Rick Carlisle is just the right guy to work with Butler in a way that allows the All-Star to feel "powerful'' without truly being in charge. There is so much talent there, and so much passion there.

But ESPN's Brian Windhorst was terribly wrong when, last fall, he reported that "the Mavericks ... are a team that wants him.'' And anybody who thinks that same thought now is wrong now, too. Yes, that goes for all the Reddit guys and their tinfoil-hat theories that there is already a "secret contract'' in place between Jimmy and the Mavs. And yes, it goes for any newspaper report that is locked into the idea that Dallas will "only'' give max money to a Butler-esque player.

Part of Windhorst's point then was that Dallas wouldn't trade for him because "they have salary cap space so they know they can sign Jimmy Butler without trading anything for him.”

But that was, and continues to be, a complete misinterpretation of what Dallas thinks of the player -- and more, what Dallas thinks of teaming him with Doncic.

DBcom was the first to report back then on Butler's close ties with then-Mavs center DeAndre Jordan. That they have a relationship was a story ... that drove us to investigate the next chapter of the story.

And that next chapter is that Jimmy Butler doesn't fit here.

But the Mavs' view on Butler (assuming he declines his 2019-20 player option, something he is expected to do) is that he would not pair well with Doncic, that he wouldn't share well, that he wouldn't "play nice with others'' here ... all of which would, in their eyes, stunt the growth of the young franchise centerpiece.

And none of this is about Dallas not wishing to employ multiple creators or even multiple point guards. Far too many Mavs watchers still don't understand that Carlisle's system specifically calls for two "point-guard-types,'' two distributors to share the load.

This is why Kemba Walker is a strong Mavs consideration, even though in Charlotte he's considered "ball-dominant.'' Dallas is certain he'd be less so here, that he'd supplement his 26-points-per-game scoring with distribution to teammates of a higher quality than he's generally had in Charlotte.

If Jimmy Butler was just dying to come here, the Mavs, I think, would have to reconsider their position. Are they really good enough to snub an All-Star? But in the end, Dallas' thoughts here are written in pen, and are unlikely to be erased: The Mavs want to acquire a third star (or better, a star even better than Luka and Kristaps Porzingis), but that third star must come with a credential that promises he'll help propel Luka Doncic's development rather than stunt it.

For the Mavs, Jimmy Butler is not that right guy.
