It appears that Toronto won't extend him qualifying offer now that they have Lowry.

His starter minutes production according to the article:

"17.8 points, 5.3 assists and 1.4 steals per game last season"

Not sure if his TOs match Lin's, but if we were to give him a shot, it would make me forget about Linsanity. Sure, he's a combo guard, but I would consider him over AB.

    Thought's? Lock if already posted.

I'd get him if tanking is the way to go, it would help with that while maybe developing him into something of value.

    Bayless

In charge of not getting injured every 10 games

In charge of thinking he's Kobe instead of a PG

I would definitely take a flyer on Bayless. He's still VERY young - 24 in August, and just had his best season statistically. His starter minutes were great, ESPECIALLY shooting.

no thx, he's a ball hog and that's not going to work out well with all our forwards.

The Rockets should pass on Bayless. I saw him extensively as a Blazer and he just doesn't get how to play team basketball. I don't know exactly what the problem is but JayBay can't blend into an offense where he isn't the main attraction. He also doesn't have a good jumpshot.

T-Rex is a poor man's Steve Francis except he isn't as athletic and has worse tunnel-vision. When a PG can't shoot very well, isn't good at setting up teammates, can't blow people away with athleticism and is nothing special on defense, forget it unless he takes a cheap one or two-year deal.

Bayless' high school highlights are spectacular. I thought he might become an NBA star and would be a perfect fit playing off Brandon Roy. When he dominated during summer league, I was shaking my head at why OKC took WB at #4 instead of Bayless. But I read a bunch of talk by NBA some writers who were skeptical how he would fit in Portland. They were so right.

He might have a better shot as 6th man if he can stay healthy. I thought he did ok as a starter PG this last season, but his defense and tunnel vision is still a big question mark.

    All good comments, btw.

Pass on Bayless, he will not amount to anything in this league.

I could see Sessions being a good replacement. I would be happy with him for the right price.
