Would like to hear what McHale has to say about his assistant's praise of Harden as a silent leader, with a tremendous work ethic that the team fed off of. Further proof McHale is a Clown.
That's the problem with former stars who played on title teams becoming coaches: They always seem to think the only way to do things correctly is the way they're teams used to do it. McHale, Magic, Bird, etc. Great players, mediocre (or worse, in Milk Hair's case) coaches.
Just as a reminder for those who might have forgotten McHale saying "Harden is not a leader" and Harden responding that McHale is a Clown.
LOL Harden is that guy that gets his extra work in because HE wants to get better but doesn't ask anyone else to join. Others Join in because they don't want to look bad because Harden is working so much harder than everyone else. Remember Harden pushed hard against ending shoot-arounds. I have no doubt Harden would have done the shoot-arounds alone.
Larry Bird thought McHale was a slack ass too. Funny he's talking **** about other players when he had that same rep.
It's a Grand Conspiracy that JB Bickerstaff's pregame interviews aren't broadcasted on network TV! @Os Trigonum please confirm
Like I said, harden is a hard worker. It’s why I don’t like posters saying he finally matured. The implication plays right to the lazy narrative that ha existing about harden and I totally reject it
JBB has always been a straight shooter. Even during that failed season, I remember interviews being very candid and good awareness.
It seems like McHale is a pretty decent guy outside of when it comes to James Harden, and he personally had to go through some incredibly sad events. But when it comes to James Harden, he doesn't seem objective or fair. Even when James had one of his record nights, he couldn't just state how great James is, but had to make a sour remark about how James tends to be three-happy or something. I think there is bitterness because McHale/his wife think James was behind his firing.
Rather than put this in @hakeem94's Worst Post of the Day thread, I thought maybe contrasting it with JBB's interview about Harden is more useful.
