This sounds speculative as opposed to rumor. Outsider looking in speaking as-matter-of-fact. Fake news. Harden loves to practice.

That was due to his defensive philosophy. That was how the game was played. Besides Phoenix and Dallas defense was the it thing in the early 2000s and till 05.Even those kings teams under Rick people forget they played defense but their motion offense with webber and Divac as passing bigs was beautiful

I think Jeff can adapt to today’s game.

If this is the case, James Harden needs to shut up and thinks how to improve his play in clutch moments. If Harden really has problem in practicing every day, then I don’t mind we trade him!

How about u shut up and read the article. Maybe then you’d realize it’s just the worthless opinion of some former WC executive. This is the problem with people posting clickbait threads. U think Harden having a problem with practice when he is a gym rat who loves to hoop could actually be a thing? Please use your brain and don’t fall for such nonsense so easily.

What the hell is everyone's obsession with Van Gundy? I love the guy, I really do. But he is not what we need. Im in total agreement with @Reeko We need a tactician. Preferably a guy who's attuned to modern NBA offenses.

if Tilboy wants to change team culture, Morey should be the first to let go!
why can't we have a real rich owner like Ballmer...

it’s nostalgia and people actually thinking we’d have won a title or some sh*t if only we had a coach who’d “get on Harden’s ass”...I’ve been seeing garbage like “we need a coach that will bench Harden when he’s doing X, Y, and Z” like that’s the main issue all these years and what’s been holding us back

not interested in some rah-rah, taskmaster coach...I want a coach who is out here playing chess while most other coaches are playing Connect Four

What is Nick Nurse, Spoelstra, and Brad Steven’s best attribute? What is it that makes them so coveted? It’s damn sure not because they’d come here and get on Harden.

If its true he needs to shut up. They listened to him for years and one year rockets played best was when he played with cp whom he didnt like

It's not true. The article doesn't even say it. OP made it up.

2 things that have been holding this team from a champion. A flexible coach who can make quick adjustments(love you MDA but its true) and a true second superstar next to Harden. We had that ONE time in all of Harden's prime....it really sucks. One of them could be fixed......as for the other......uhhhhhh

James Harden doesn't really get to talk anymore. You need to bring us a championship. We just need to trade him before he demands a trade at which point his value tanks a la tmac

Yeah, title could say "Anonymous rival exec speculates Harden is too lazy to want to practice every day so he wouldn't want to play for VanGundy."

He actually didn't put Mac in his place.

He called him an underachiever in terms of Malcom Gladwell's book which is likely the truth but at that time didn't do any good. .

I like his TV gig and he is a fun guy but not as a coach.

If Trump should be given credit for anything since he ran for office, it's the notion of "fake news". JVG and Harden qualifies as such until we hear otherwise from Harden.

    If that is true..

    Awesome.

    Bring in JVG.

Get players that want to compete and do what it takes day in day out.

OK, but posting your initial comment just after the OP insinuates that Harden doesn't always get what he wants, when in fact he does. @Nook may disagree with you however on CP3 though... And banging your head against the wall on the Westbrook trade is doing you no favors btw. You're clearly biased and you're the judging this "worst trade in Rockets history" off one the most unpredictable NBA seasons in the history of it's existence. Bucks and Clippers fans are disappointed too. I won't belabor the posters here on the myriad of reasons why you make the Westbrook trade every single time, regardless of the outcome. But to insinuate that this season's failure is mainly the result of this trade, knowing CP3 and Harden would never coexist this season in the first place, knowing how badly MDA is outcoached every single night, knowing how Harden continuously fails to raise his game in the playoffs, knowing how this team's concept is built around the premise of lights out shooting, yet we can't shoot collectively, is down right deplorable journalism at it's finest. I would expect MUCH more from the moderator and creator of this site quite frankly. A pretty disappointing, and glaringly subjective, POV to the say the least.
