Harden is not a hard worker. I am not sure if he cares much about improving his game, especially on the defensive side. I am not surprised he gets fat in the summer.
Every so often like a menstrual cycle posters have to scope out Harden's body and pretend they are remotely qualified to judge the fitness of an NBA player on "the eye test."
