Is anyone else worried that we will lose Chris Finch this summer?

Many moons ago (4 or 5 years?) Chris Finch was touted as the future of Rockets basketball coaching. He coached the Vipers from 2009 to 2011 with great success and has since been an assistant coach under McHale and Bickerstaff. I always got the impression that the Rockets were developing him to be a head coach, but he doesn't seem to be the right "big name" kind of guy for the team this summer.

There are a lot of teams on the prowl for a new head coach right now and Finch meets a lot of needs especially for those teams with a young unproven roster. He's got a solid resume of experience and everything you hear about him from the Houston media is overwhelmingly positive. I can see the Orlando Magic, for instance, taking a good look at Finch for head coach.

    Thoughts?

I will not be sad to see him go & hope he does leave.

What's the fascination with this guy?

You tried to force him onto Rick and rightly he wanted no part of that.

You didn't hire him when Rick was let go.
You didn't promote him when you fired McHale.
You probably aren't hiring him this time.

So you passed on him twice, if not three times, for the head coaching job yet you keep trying to force him on head coaches.

So I ask again, what's the fascination with this guy?

Worried about what? That he'll take his iso ball and no defense plays elsewhere?

Not at all. He would probably be smart to leave at this point.

What is so great about him? I will be a broken record & point to the Lawson fiasco. If I'm the "offensive coordinator" and a proven player like Lawson drops into my lap, I'm going to find a way for that to be a plus for the offense. I don't care if I have to get a little creative with it.

Honestly, I'm not worried about losing anybody on this team/staff. I won't she'd a tear over anyone.

I'd prefer the entire coaching staff be replaced. Clearly ineffective on both sides of the court.

If Chris Finch was really the so called "offensive coordinator" of this team, then I sure as HELL want him the hell away from this team.

Seeing as how exactly ZERO teams have interviewed him thus far, I'd say the big question is whether he'll be working at all next year on the NBA level.
