I remember during our search for a new coach in 2016 that Vogel was available or mentioned at some point and lot of people were dismissive of him. I have been up and down on him, but never thought he was some bum as people tried to convince me of. Now in your eyes, for those who were negative of him, does this redeem him? And for those who thought he was solid, is it truly his coaching or is having Lebron and AD pretty much enough to carry him throughout this year? I'd say he's been solid, he's gone with various line-ups, big and small, has had guys in and out and they still manage to come in and help. He still trusts guys who've been out. He's made adjustments and has gotten guys to buy in, therefore I'd say he deserves a lot of credit.
I doubt he gets any more credit than any other LeBron Coach If he is redeemed . . then that legitimizes all the others Right? Rocket River
Having arguably 2 of the top 4 or 5 players in the league on your team doesn't hurt. Especially when one is LeBrawn.
he was never a garbage coach...he did work down in Indiana all season long, the only real challenger to the Lakers in the West was the Clippers according to pretty much everyone, and they had 1 of the biggest chokes ever...them beating the Blazers, Rockets with garbage Russ, and the Nuggets is expected like Rocket River said, if we want to give him so much praise, then keep that same energy for Tyron Lue as well...coming back from 3-1 against the 73-9 Warriors is far more impressive than anything this Lakers team has done
I thought we should have hired him in 2016 instead of D'Antoni. He proved he was a good coach in Indiana.
