Impressive improvement. He wasn't even an Honorable Mention in 2013. Maybe he wins it all next year. At only 24 years of age, there is a lot of room for growth.

Carl, are you getting a kickback for getting this Kawakami cat's blog some hits? Maybe a free thermometer?

Hmm... well lets see where to start.

Harden was BAD overall last year on the defensive end, but he wasn't any worse than Stephan Curry and others at the 1-2-3.

Second, Harden wasn't covering Brewer on a lot of those 50+ points he scored, but why let the facts get in the way.

As a Rockets fan you want Harden to get better at that end of the floor, but the hate is now out of control... whatever, he needs to defend better anyway.

Article is spot on, Morey and whoever can hate that montage of no-D Harden all they want, it's just a small sample of how lazy and bad it really is. Harden makes T-mac's Houston days look like he was a defensive specialist with some offense.

We all know that Harden's defense was poor.

James Harden was absolutely robbed for the No Defense Player of the Year award.

Much like if you're unfortunate enough to witness a one man circlejerk in public, it's probably best to just move along and not engage that man.

Meh, hopefully Harden sees posts like this and really takes it to heart.

    Nice thread.

The blog itself has a number of decent to good defensive players, though. The guy takes stats wayyyy too literally and doesn't watch basketball.

Harden is actually a good defender....but he just to damn lazy. He will be ok once he fixes that.

Haren had his moments of good defense, so we know he can do it.

    No excuses next year!

He doesn't have to carry the entire offense anymore and coach needs to be more careful with his minutes.

Regardless of how much I think the Harden's D thing is overblown, I do like the fact that he's the butt of all no-defense jokes and assaulted relentlessly in the media for it.

If this doesn't light a fire in his ass, I don't know what will. The guy's been pretty coddled defensively speaking both in OKC and in Houston. He does need to start owning up to his duties on the defensive side.

The crusade against James Harden continues...

It's going to be a long offseason.
